Contractor Desktop Support (FTLD-2020-16)

Position Summary

Migrate user’s profiles and computers to a new domain that will be syncing on-prem AD account with the O365 Azure cloud. Requires scheduling with each user and understanding their current access of how they access internal files/applications making sure it is maintained after the migration process. Relocating local desktop files to Onedrive business, implementing Bitlocker security, appling GPOs, Windows profile setup, mapped drive shares, and proper documenting. Strong customer communication and scheduling skills are needed as direct global customer interaction is required.

Skills Required

  • Very strong Windows 10 usage, configuring, & troubleshooting.
  • Distribution Lists, O365 groups, & MS Teams.
  • O365 admin portal, Exchange admin, Azure AD.
  • Active Directory and Windows domains.
  • Security groups, Distribution Groups, permissions.
  • Shared folders access & permissions.
  • Basic networking, IP, Cisco VPN.
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint online and on-prem versions.
  • SalesForce Ticketing System to document cases.
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection & Sophos Endpoint Security.
  • Mac OS usage, configuring, & troubleshooting.
  • RDP, GotoAssist, remote support.
  • CMD and Powershell usage.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Follow work processes, procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to take initiative and be positive

Qualifications Needed

  • College degree with a major in Computer Science/Information Technology, or 5-7 years of related experience. Or, an equivalent combination of both experience and education in information technology.
  • Four (4)+ years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician.
  • Experience working with global users.
  • A+ Certification and Network + Certification
  • Customer service focused
  • Must be a team player
  • Microsoft Certification(s) a plus
