Data Integration Engineer (Ft. Lauderdale FL, Lisle IL or Tempe AZ)

Position Summary

The data integration engineer is a strong technical individual with programming, software, and SQL Server database skills. The data integration engineer is responsible for configuring BUS (Neuron ESB), programming scripts used for updating databases, transforming data, importing and exporting data, repairing data anomalies, automating Integration and deployment tasks, and assisting with change requests and deployments as necessary. This individual will develop scripts using SQL-Server databases, SQL programming, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and other scripting, reporting and data transformation tools. This individual will use Microsoft .Net C# while configuring Neuron ESB.

  • Configures Neuron ESB to handle integrations and data transformations
  • Develops SQL scripts used to update customers data and migrate data across platforms or environments.
  • Develops SQL scripts to customize data imports or exports, and to help troubleshoot and/or repair data issues or problems
  • Provides custom reports or data outputs to customers using SSRS, XML output, and other reporting tools.
  • Efficiently assess the potential root causes of technical problems and implement preventative measures.
  • Performs unit testing and system testing on all scripts to be used in production.
  • Maintains proper documentation to ensure compliant standards are met according to company SOPs.
  • Assists in the deployment of clinical software upgrades and mid-study changes onto our development, test, training, and production servers.

Skills Needed

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft .Net C# programming language.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 or higher - knowledge of SQL Replication, SSIS, and SSRS is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, networking concepts is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle and the ability to document result of software deployments and implementations.

Qualifications Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working with Microsoft Operating Systems and SQL Server database.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft .Net platform and C# programming language
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server database development.
  • Background or interest in clinical or health-related information technologies.
