Executive Director - Data Business Solutions (Remote, US)

Position Summary

The Executive Director – Data Business Solutions will serve as the key stakeholder in the growth of the Data Solutions business across their assigned region as well as a subject matter expert (SME) in regards to feasibility; site identification; and patient recruitment. This pivotal role will provide support and expertise for all aspects of the sales and customer development cycle, including: assistance in pre-qualification of potential opportunities, identification of prospect/customer requirements and needs, active participation in RFI/RFP/proposal preparation, define and help deliver tailored product demonstrations; acting as a technical/functional contact for customers and provide additional support as needed to progress the growth of the Data division’s customer base. The right individual will be exceedingly familiar with the pain points inherent to feasibility; site identification; and patient recruitment and comfortable discussing these complexities with biopharmaceutical and CRO clients.

In addition, the role will support Anju’s data division commercial & product strategy by gathering sales and customer feedback, and working closely with sales leadership, product management, product development, and marketing to help ensure the product suite is designed to help clients put together a robust, data-driven operational strategy while also supporting the company’s overall strategy and goals. Assist with product messaging and marketing in collaboration with product management and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate actively with sales, operations, product management and other areas to provide support and expertise to all aspects of the Data division commercial development and execution strategy as described in Position Summary above.
• Act in SME capacity for assigned new or enhanced product features – work with the development team from requirements gathering and analysis through the development life cycle to product release.
• Work with sales team to understand new prospects' and existing clients' pain points. Assist in opportunity discovery and requirements gathering as needed.
• Define and deliver client-specific demonstrations that tell a story about the superiority of Anju data products and technology, including customized solutions for specific customer or prospect interest/needs.
• Actively maintain a depth of expertise/knowledge of Anju data product suites, including technical/functional changes and new features. as well as the competitive landscape.
• Conduct webinars, seminars and workshops for marketing and customers, as needed. Ensure that Business Solutions represent Anju at marketing events/trade shows whether in-person or virtual.
• Provide market and client feedback to product management and marketing as input into data product strategy and roadmaps.
• Work with sales and marketing to drive awareness of Anju data solutions in the marketplace, including creating and contributing to outreach activities, marketing events, product messaging and collateral development.
• Work with Anju’s technology partners to demonstrate innovative, integrated solutions to potential customers.
• Collaborate with Operations to conduct periodic technology review ‘clinics’ with existing Anju data customers to gauge their use of the products and glean their input on desired enhancements and functionality

Skills Needed

• Thorough knowledge of the feasibility; site identification; and patient recruitment landscape is a must
• Consultative verbal and written communication abilities with finely tuned listening skills
• Effective probing skills; ability to ask questions, coupled with intuitiveness to know when to ask other questions or encourage participants to verbalize.
• Ability to communicate well within all levels of the organization.
• Presentation skills coupled with flexibility to adapt to changes in client situations and agendas.
• Strategic and tactical business skills; able to assess degree of detail needed or when to be “big picture”.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information both internally and to clients.

Qualifications Needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required, MBA preferred
• Scientific/healthcare background (BSc/MSc/by experience)
• Good understanding of the drug development stages, clinical processes and data
• 5+ years successful software/services sales, customer management or customer service experience within the Life Science industry
• Ability to efficiently work from a home office environment and remote
• Pharmaceutical or CRO experience a plus
• Ability to travel
