Product Manager (BGLR-2020-02)

Position Summary

A Product Manager is responsible for conceptualizing, specifying, managing and promoting one or more Anju’s application products. The person will work closely with customers diving into the details of customer business needs and translating them into product features, driving and help managing the roadmap of the product. The person will work with other product managers, engineers, quality assurance teams, architects, services, support and sales to define and prioritize technical as well as functional features. The person will interact with internal and external Subject Matter Experts to determine the necessary functionality for the product, will work with other senior members of product development to prioritize which features will appear in which release, and will write the functional requirements for the agreed-upon features. The Product Manager will coordinate and conduct review meetings during the development phase, will liaise with members of the Product Development Quality Assurance team to make sure the functionality is properly tested, will assist with the preparation of technical documentation and training materials, and will act as an expert on the product for other Anju personnel, and for customers and prospects.

Personal Qualities:

A product manager needs to have a strong mix of both functional and technical capabilities. The person needs to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, needs to be able to crystallize specific statements of needs into generic product requirements, needs to write clearly and unambiguously, and needs to present effectively to both small and large audiences. The person needs to be driven, energetic and optimistic.


  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the Customer and each user’s job responsibilities related to use of our software
  • Gather and define requirements in comprehensive and discrete User Stories and Epics within Jira
  • Work collaboratively with the Product Development team to create, groom, and maintain the product backlog
  • Contribute to and lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions
  • Function as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are complete, clearly defined, and understood
  • Participate in daily scrum standups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Validate that software functionality developed meets the requirements during sprint reviews
  • Build and share subject matter expertise about our products and business
  • Define product integration and interoperability requirements to enable the exchange of information with other systems

Skills Needed:

  • Strong technical background through hands-on experience with software development lifecycle
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across various product teams
  • Highly self-motivated to work on tasks independently, while working in a fast-paced environment. Must be sharp, energetic and results-oriented; able to prioritize, negotiate and focus in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications Needed:

  • 6+ year’s software industry experience working on enterprise level software applications, with at least 2+ years of Product Management experience in Medical Affairs and/or Life sciences application
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field is required
  • Prior experience with Product Management functions is required
  • Experience with Life Science application is preferred
  • Experience of working within an agile development process is preferred
