Executive Director Data Business Solutions (Remote US)

The Executive Director – Data Business Solutions will serve as the key stakeholder in the growth of the Data Solutions business across their assigned region. This pivotal role will provide support and expertise for all aspects of the sales and customer development cycle, including: assistance in pre-qualification of potential opportunities, identification of prospect/customer requirements and needs, active participation in RFI/RFP/proposal preparation, define and help deliver tailored product demonstrations; acting as a technical/functional contact for customers and provide additional support as needed to progress the growth of the Data division’s customer base.

In addition, the role will support Anju’s data division commercial & product strategy by gathering sales and customer feedback, and working closely with sales leadership, product management, product development, and marketing to help ensure the product suite is exceeding the needs of the industry and supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. Assist with product messaging and marketing in collaboration with product management and marketing.

  • Collaborate actively with sales, operations, product management and other areas to provide support and expertise to all aspects of the Data division commercial development and execution strategy as described in Position Summary above.
  • Work with sales team to understand new prospects' and existing clients' functional and data needs. Assist in opportunity discovery and requirements gathering as needed.
  • Define and help deliver tailored 'story' demonstrations of the Anju data products that clearly convey superiority of Anju technology, including customized solutions for specific customer or prospect interest/needs.
  • Actively maintain a depth of expertise/knowledge of Anju data product suites, including technical/functional changes and new features.
  • Conduct webinars, seminars and workshops for marketing and customers, as needed. Ensure that Business Solutions represent Anju at marketing events/trade shows whether in-person or virtual.
  • Provide market feedback to product management and marketing as input into data product strategy
    and roadmaps.
  • Work with sales and marketing to drive awareness of Anju data solutions in the marketplace, including creating and contributing to outreach activities, marketing events, product messaging and collateral development.
  • Work with Anju’s technology partners to demonstrate innovative, integrated solutions to potential customers.
  • Collaborate with Operations to conduct periodic technology review ‘clinics’ with existing Anju data customers to gauge their use of the products and glean their input on desired enhancements and
  • Act in SME capacity for assigned new or enhanced product features – work with the development team from requirements gathering and analysis through the development life cycle to product release.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required, MBA preferred
  • Scientific/healthcare background (BSc/MSc/by experience)
  • Good understanding of the drug development stages, clinical processes and data
  • 5+ years successful software/services sales, customer management or customer service experience within the Life Science industry
  • Ability to efficiently work from a home office environment and remote
  • Pharmaceutical or CRO experience a plus
  • Ability to travel
