Systems Administrator (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems Administrator / Application Support position is responsible for supporting all aspects of implementations, deployments and ongoing maintenance of all Microsoft and Virtualization solutions. This position deals specifically with all day-to-day operations of global supported applications and server infrastructure platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own, deploy and maintain our application monitoring solution.
  • Partner with the development team to help identify in-efficiencies in application code.
  • Participates in the ongoing design, deployment, and maintenance of all Microsoft and VMWare deployments.
  • Create, design and maintain Cloud Operations processes and procedures.
  • Employ High Availability and Disaster recovery using cloud solutions.
  • Implementation and administration of Virtualization solutions.
  • Works with software and hardware vendors on new implementations.
  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 administration.
  • Administration of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Administration of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Participates in the server build and deployment process.
  • Participates in established change management protocol.
  • Performs software updates, backups and monitors system health.
  • Provides scheduled and impromptu management reports.
  • Provides after hour support for planned and emergency maintenance, performs on-call emergency support service, and patching when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • Expert in security architectures across infrastructure and applications.
  • Experience with application monitoring solutions (Dynatrace or App Dynamics) a plus.
  • Strong Active Directory and DNS experience with multi-site environment.
  • Expert knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualization software: Azure, AWS and VMWare.
  • Ability to architect, deploy and administer computing services in various Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of internet protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPs, SMTP, SNMP, and SSH.
  • Experience with designing and implementing application and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
  • Experience building and deploying multi-tier, scalable, and highly available applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure – Active Directory domains, DNS, DHCP, Windows Security, Group Policies, etc.
  • MS SQL 2016/2019 knowledge a plus.
  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 administration.
  • Microsoft Office 365 administration.
  • Virtualization experience with VMWare.
  • Knowledge of systems, applications, and network security a plus.
  • Must have experience working in a multi-location Data Center environment.
  • Must be committed to providing fault tolerant and highly available systems/services.
  • Ability to assume significant responsibility and operate at a high level both independently and as part of a team effort.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Committed to the delivery of a high quality of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • 5-10 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working in a production internet facing environment.
