Introducing the Latest IRMS MAX Update: More Power, More Flexibility, More Value

We’re excited to announce the release of the latest IRMS MAX version (7.2.2)—a major update packed with enhancements, client-requested features, and fixes to ensure the system continues to deliver the highest value for our users across medical affairs and medical information teams.

We are especially proud to have addressed 42 client-reported issues, a testament to our ongoing collaboration with customers to evolve IRMS MAX into the most responsive platform in the market.

Automated Translation for Global Efficiency

One of the standout features in this release is the new API Translate Function, which streamlines multilingual data entry and supports global reporting workflows.

Previously, users had to manually copy/paste content into tools like Google Translate before entering it in IRMS. With this update, teams can now automatically translate content entered in the local language directly into English using either Google Translate or Microsoft Translator.

Key benefits:

  • Supports better global-to-local data consistency
  • Reduces time spent on manual translation
  • Easy to configure via a division parameter (allow case field translation)
  • Customers use their own Google or Microsoft API accounts

This feature is ideal for Asia-Pacific teams and others operating in non-English environments but required to report centrally in English.

AI Tools in IRMS MAX

Users now have access to inline AI summarization tools for key text fields—helping medical information teams quickly condense content, improve clarity, and prepare responses with greater efficiency.

Administrators can manage AI settings and prompt templates directly in the platform, and a new AI License Control ensures organizations can toggle AI capabilities based on their preferences.

These tools are designed to boost productivity without compromising compliance or control—and they’re just the beginning of what’s to come in our AI roadmap.

We’re excited to announce the release of the latest IRMS MAX version 7.2.2, a major update packed with enhancements, client-requested features, and fixes to ensure the system continues to deliver the highest value for our users across medical affairs and medical information teams.

Enhanced SSO Compatibility for IT Teams

To support IT admins and enterprise environments, IRMS MAX now includes updated support for SAML 2.0 Standard Claims. This makes our platform more compatible with modern identity management protocols and simplifies the setup process for secure single sign-on (SSO).

A new XML export/import feature also streamlines integration with identity providers like IQVIA, offering easier and more flexible configuration options.

Better Traceability, Logging & Quality Oversight

Behind the scenes, we’ve introduced improvements that help QA, IT, and compliance teams work smarter:

  • Enhanced exception logs with clearer links to the triggering system object

  • Improved audit trails for user and system actions

  • Standardized document tracking with automated reference numbers in key areas

These upgrades support better error resolution, audit readiness, and downstream data integrity.

Unicode Support Update: Proceed with Caution

We’ve implemented a fix for Unicode character issues that had affected some workflows—but with an important caveat. While the initial issue has been resolved, downstream systems may still experience instability when Unicode is used.

Our recommendation: Avoid using Unicode characters unless absolutely necessary, and advise customers to do the same. We will handle edge cases on a case-by-case basis moving forward.
