SCOPE Orlando 2024: The Summit for Clinical Ops Executives

The 15th annual SCOPE Summit for Clinical Ops Executives takes place February 11-14, 2024, in Orlando, Florida. Registration is now open, and you can get $200 off with the promotion code ANJU.

This year’s summit covers a wide range of topics in clinical trials and clinical research. With four days of discussion and networking, a 200-event strong exhibit hall, special cross-department panels, and three plenary keynote sessions, SCOPE Orlando promises to be one of the biggest conferences in clinical ops this year. Here’s what we’re most excited to see.

Highlights: Keynotes, Plenary Sessions, and Networking Events

SCOPE Orlando kicks off on Sunday, February 11, 2024, with the 3rd annual Masters of Clinical Research Golf Tournament at 8:00 a.m. Start your SCOPE experience with time on the links, or get some early morning rest and drop in for registration any time after 9:00 a.m.

Sunday afternoon

Two pre-conference workshops take place Sunday afternoon, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Choose between a workshop on the new B2B clinical trial community and marketplace, ClinEco, or a workshop on sustainability in clinical trials. The latter is hosted by Jason Lanier, Global Program Leader, Director, at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, and David Lumby, Executive Director of EHS at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The day ends with SCOPE’s Big Game Tailgate Party and various sponsor-hosted SCOPE Big Game viewing parties. You don’t need to choose between catching the Superbowl and attending SCOPE Orlando — you can do both and build networking relationships in the process.

Monday, Feb. 12

On Monday, February 12, join colleagues for a fun run starting at 7:00 a.m., or grab some coffee and join the plenary keynote presentation starting at 8:30 a.m. Robert Goodwin, Senior Vice President of Clinical Development and Operations at Pfizer, shares a keynote titled “Time is Life: Pfizer’s Approach to Accelerating Clinical Development.”

Tuesday, Feb. 13

Tuesday afternoon’s plenary session on February 13 focuses on FDA guidance, modernizing clinical trials, and finding innovative approaches to investment. The 2:30 p.m. panel discussion, “Fireside Chat with FDA on Modernizing Clinical Trials,” includes panelists Kevin Bugin of CDER and Marsha Samson of the FDA’s Office of Medical Policy. The panel moderator is Ken Getz, Executive Director and Professor at the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development.
